Coffee and Connect - Art and Us (Family Inclusion Programme)

Cup of coffee by a laptop and mobile phone.

Coffee and Connect are informal sessions offering sector insights and the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the Midlands area.

Our guest speakers are Rosie May and Jack Keenan from MK Gallery talking about their family inclusion programme.

Our informal insights and networking informal sessions offer sector insights and the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the Midlands area.

Our guest speakers are Rosie May and Jack Keenan from MK Gallery’s in-house Inclusion Team. They’ll share key learnings and practice that underpin the Gallery's Inclusive Practice in the Arts (IPA) programme. The IPA programme works to support children, young people, and adults with additional and complex support needs to access enriching creative offers, and to identify cultural settings as safe, welcome spaces for all. It also aims to disseminate best practice in inclusion across the organisation as a whole.

The discussion in this session will primarily focus on the Gallery's flagship inclusive family programme Art and Us, which has been running since 2018. IPA Artists deliver bespoke, 1:1 workshops every Sunday at Art and Us, tailoring each family's experience to their child/children's access requirements and interests. Read more about Art and Us.
