School’s Workshop Volunteers contribute to the delivery of established and high quality educational programmes for Primary School children (5-11). This includes setting up and packing away the learning spaces, interacting with teachers and pupils, leading small group work and preparing learning resources. Our main site is currently Mary Arden's Farm in Wilmcote but this may change in the future, so please get in touch if you have any questions.
Skills we are looking for:
• Experience of, or an interest in, working with children
• A desire to bring Shakespeare to life for school groups and visitors to the Trust
• Good people skills with the ability to talk confidently to both individuals & groups from different age groups, varying backgrounds and with a range of needs
• Willingness to learn and share information about Shakespeare and his family homes
• Willingness to undergo training in facilitation, customer service, accessibility and health and safety as appropriate
• Ability to ensure health and safety guidelines are followed and be responsible for their own health and safety
• You will be asked to undertake a DBS check as part of this role
This role is seasonal, with workshops running from February to November.
