Victory 80 Case Study Film

For the 80th anniversaries of Victory in Europe (VE) Day and Victory in Japan (VJ) Day, the Department of Culture, Media, and Sport announced a £415,000 national fund to enable museums across the country to deliver meaningful and creative events commemorating this important anniversary.

Of the £75,000 awarded via Arts Council England to Museum Development Midlands, three local museums were successful: Stourbridge Glass Museum, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, and the Museum of the Mercian Regiment.

Projects included community engagement events, collections handling boxes, exhibitions and collections digitisation – all resulting in significant engagement figures.
