Open Grants

Our largest grant scheme, Open Grants covers a broad range of museum activity. The maximum amount an individual museum can apply for through our Open Grant scheme is £5,000.

Our largest grant scheme, Open Grants covers a broad range of museum activity and responds to the Arts Council England Let’s Create Investment Principles. 

Eligible museums may apply for up to £5,000 for Open Grants.

The deadline for open grant applications is Tuesday 8 July 2025.

Read the Open Grants Guidance in full before making your application.

Download and complete the Open Grants Application Form and submit to MDM Grants before the deadline.

We recommend that you contact a member of the MDM team about your planned activity before applying. Please email MDM Grants to request a conversation.
