About these events
These workshops are designed as two connected but stand-alone sessions. Participants can attend either workshop individually or sign up to both to gain a broader understanding of volunteer recruitment, management, experience and retention.
THIS EVENT: Session 1: Building and Supporting Successful Volunteer Teams
10 November, 10am to 12:30pm
Learn how to recruit, induct and manage volunteers effectively. This practical session explores role design, communication, volunteer engagement and managing challenges, helping museums build confident and well-supported volunteer teams.
NEXT EVENT: Session 2: Creating Inclusive Volunteer Experiences and Retaining Volunteers
10 February, 10am to 12:30pm
Discover strategies to improve volunteer satisfaction, inclusion and retention. Explore volunteer motivations, wellbeing, accessibility and succession planning to create a positive and sustainable volunteering culture.
The event will be delivered via Zoom.
