Green Narratives Programme

The Green Narratives programme will increase museums’ knowledge, confidence and practice in re-interpreting collections, telling new stories and engaging visitors around Environmental Responsibility.

MDM is offering a small cohort of four museums the opportunity to work with Climate Museum UK (CMUK) to identify, research and reinterpret objects from their collection to produce a new display that creatively and confidently engages audiences with the Earth crisis or previously untold environmental stories.

The Green Narratives programme will increase museums’ knowledge, confidence and practice in re-interpreting collections, telling new stories and engaging visitors around Environmental Responsibility.

Through the programme a small cohort of four museums will be supported to develop new green narratives from your collections through cohort training, peer networking and 1:1 mentoring. At the end of the programme there will be an opportunity to apply for a Strategic Grant to develop new displays or an exhibition.

The programme will be delivered from May 2025 - March 2026.

Attend the online Information Event on Wednesday 7 May 2025, 10.30am-11.30am to find out more about our Green Narratives programme.
