At Museum Development Midlands (MDM) our aim is to ensure that our museums are empowered to thrive, and we recognise that informed approaches to development are a key part of achieving this goal. This survey has been designed to capture your current awareness, use, and experience of accessing a range of data resources and applications. We’ll also ask you about training needs to enhance your skills and confidence when working with data.

How can I help?

Please complete this anonymous online survey by 9am, Tuesday 25 February. It should take 5-10 minutes to complete; you can save your responses at any point and continue at another time as needed.

Why complete the survey?

We want to understand what support you may need to make best use of the data resources available to you to support you in your work and that of your museum. It’s not a test!

The design and delivery of our new data programme for 2025/26 will be informed by the insights you share with us through your responses to the survey questions. We want to ensure our programme meets your needs, so this survey is a key mechanism to ensure we're tailoring our support to the needs of our Midlands museum sector.

Who should complete the survey?

We want responses from staff and volunteers working at your museum, whatever their role. Please share the survey link with your colleagues and encourage them to take part.
