Museums across the Midlands are being encouraged to take part in the Heatwaves Survey 2026, which is exploring how recent periods of extreme heat have affected museums and heritage organisations.
The short survey takes around five minutes to complete and covers:
Operational impacts
Financial impacts
Adaptation methods and communication
Future preparedness
The findings will help build a better understanding of the challenges museums are facing and identify how the sector can prepare for increasingly frequent heatwave events.
Strong representation from museums across the Midlands is important, so we encourage colleagues to take part and share their experiences.
